We are excited to kick off our 2026 season with legend Benjamin Verdery. Benjamin Verdery is an internationally acclaimed guitarist known for his innovative and eclectic career as a performer, composer, and recording artist. He has appeared at major venues and festivals worldwide, including Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera, and leading guitar festivals across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. A prolific recording artist and composer, Verdery has released more than 17 albums and collaborated with a wide range of musicians across classical, contemporary, and popular genres. He has served on the faculty of the Yale School of Music from 1985 to 2025 and remains a leading voice in the classical guitar world.

Alex Komodore is a Denver-based virtuoso guitarist acclaimed for his powerful interpretations, formidable technique, and versatility across classical and contemporary styles. An internationally respected performer, educator, and adjudicator, he has appeared at major festivals worldwide, served as a judge for leading guitar competitions, and taught at universities and conservatories for over four decades. Komodore is also a prolific recording artist whose work has received critical acclaim.

Join us for an inspiring performance as Guoyu Yang and Henryk Linantud bring their artistry and passion to the stage, celebrating the vibrant tradition of guitar music in this highly anticipated showcase.

Hailed as a “technical wizard,” Chinese classical guitarist Hao Yang is an award-winning performer whose honors include top prizes at major international competitions such as the Koblenz International Guitar Competition “Hubert Käppel,” the GFA International Concert Artist Competition, and the Andrés Segovia International Guitar Competition. She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras and performed at leading festivals and venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, and international guitar festivals in Cleveland, Panama, and Beijing. An avid chamber musician, Hao regularly collaborates in a variety of ensemble settings and is known for her imaginative and expressive programming.
